Confederate marked 1861 High Hump Richmond rifle. Lock plate is dated 1861 with “C.S. Richmond VA”. Barrel does have an even layer of grey patina. Stock shows some wear with minor crack in front of the lock. Rear sight is missing but has correct “T” notch. These rifles saw heavy use during the war and this is a very fine example of one.
