Description: 27" SxS fluid steel barrels with rebated ribs at muzzles, hooded bead front sight and folding twilight bead, solid flat hand-filed rib, one standing bone-lined express sight engraved for 100 yards and 1 folding platinum-lined tangent sight engraved to 600 yards. Figured walnut stock with Anson-pushbutton-release splinter forend, horn-capped pistol grip, classic point-pattern checkering and with checkered sidepanels, double-beaded pancake cheekpiece, sling swivels, cloisonné-inlaid monogram with crown on gold escutcheon, and leather-covered recoil pad. Scalloped-back boxlock action with deep-chiseled fleur-de-lys fences, double Purdey underbites and rib-extension third bite, automatic ejectors, bushed firing pins, checkered double triggers, automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold and with fire-blued locking lever with BOLTED inlaid in platinum, all engraved with rope-bordered fine English scroll. Pull: 14". Weight: 8lbs, 8oz. Built ca 1892. Retaining 98% original barrel blue, 90% original casehardening colors, 95% high-polish floorplate and triggerguard blue. Tight, and with excellent bores.
