HENRY RIFLE
Description: Manufactured March 1865. Gun is in good condition for it's age. Dings and mars that would be typical of any Henry that was used hard. It looks like the front blade sight has been replaced, a peep sight added to the ladder sight and possibly a tang sight at one time or another because of the hole in the upper tang. Aside from these period modifications the rifle remains in good condition.Good rifling. The brass receiver and buttplate have a very attractive patina. I think the stock may have been lightly sanded and re-oiled but remains in good condition with a visible "Henry Bump". This is a good example of a late Civil War production Henry rifle!
