Springfield Model 1884 Service Rifle
Description: Offered for your consideration is this fine Springfield Trapdoor infantry rifle. This is a very clean unmolested original rifle with no damage, rust, pitting, or missing or changed parts. The bore is bright with deep rifling from chamber to muzzel. The smooth original bluing is starting to turn to a light brown patina. The original Buffington rear sight is clearly marked and the adjustments work as they should. The original ramrod is included and it is straight. There is a crisp clear 1888 cartouche and circle p P firing proof. The serial number puts the manufacturing date at the very end of 1888 which matches the cartouche. The finish on the stock is the original linseed oil and it is very nice with a few handling marks. Shipping will be a flat fee of $35.00 for insured Priority Mail with tracking number from Zip code 54409 to USA address's only. No sales tax collected. C & R FFL's welcome.
