Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Long (Scarce) Rifle (still packed in Grease), series 35, manufactured at Toyo Kogyo, Hiroshima Prefecture, serial # 10760, cal. 7.7mm, barrel is 31" long still packed in grease, (the bolt matches itself and is numbered 373, safety 373, Ext. 373, FP ?? I don’t see it numbered but its in grease, I believe these guns are numbered to a number that’s stamped on the bottom of the receiver the bayonet lug has no number) has a mark thru mum (still looks good), has 99% original factory blue finish, the wood is very good with the usual dings and dents attributed to light handling or military use by someone in the rear with the gear, the screws at the trigger guard are still pinned signifying the gun hasn't been messed with, rifle comes with the following: correct cleaning rod, adjustable rear sights with AA arms, protective ears on the front sight, steel cupped butt plate along with the mono-pod and dust cover #’ed 215, rifle can be referenced in Honneycutt's book "Military rifles of Japan", these rifles are seldom seen and are considered a bit scarce, this one will fit into a Military Collection nicely or make a great addition to any Japanese WW II collection as it’s in Collectors Grade Condition.
