M1 Garand Rifle by Springfield Armory 1944 Date
Description:
Serial #1879306, .30-06, 24” barrel with an excellent, bright bore.
This locking bar sight equipped rifle was originally manufactured in August of 1943 and has a “1-SA-1-44” dated barrel.
The metal retains 90-95% armory re-applied parkerizing throughout.
There is some mild fading on the gas tube as well as on the bearing surfaces of the SA bolt and modified op-rod.
The milled trigger group and hammer are also SA marked, however an aftermarket extended safety lever has been added in place of the original.
The birch stock retains 90-95% of a dark brown military oil finish with scattered light handling marks and blemishes.
The walnut handguards are likewise in excellent condition.
There are no proof or inspection stamps.
This is a great post-war rebuilt Garand that is in excellent overall condition overall.
