NATIONAL MATCH
Description:
US Rifle Caliber 30 M1 S/N 74XXX (1938?) bought October 1985 from the CMP. Comes with all paperwork. Accurized to National Match specifications by Paul Laberge to include National Match sights, glass bedding, select and "tuned" op rod,gas cylinder modifications, honed and adjusted trigger, etc. New barrel dated 6-44 SA is apparently an arsenal replacement for an unserviceable original. Hawkeye borescope inspection confirms the new barrel's perfect internal condition. The condition of all wood and metal is sound, undamaged and approaching excellent. After accurization rifle has been fired only for zeroes and for two 50 shot National Match Excellence in Competition or "Leg" matches using Lake City government issue match ammunition. Accuracy is reliably 1 1/2 minutes of angle or less which is as good or better than my 1965 National Match bought through the DCM from the Picatinny Arsenal in 1965. At 85 years old and after back, hips and knee surgery I can't shoot standing or sitting any more. This rifle would be quite competitive on the range.
