Winchester M1 Garand Rifle Rebuilt 1965
Description: Serial #2399056, .30-06, 24” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This WW2 rifle was rebuilt in 1965 and has nearly all Winchester parts with the exception of the SA marked trigger group housing and RA (Remington) National Match op-rod. The metal retains 92-95% armory re-applied parkerizing with some scratches and silvering at the muzzle, as well as further silvering on the projections, on the bearing surfaces of the bolt, and inside the op-rod raceway. The receiver was electric penciled under the wood: “TE/11-65”, indicating arsenal rebuild by Tooele Army Depot in November of '65. The unmarked walnut stock has several light handling marks and blemishes that carry over onto the matching finish handguards, as well as a triangular chip missing from the front edge of the op-rod channel. Although the stock is unmarked, the rear handguard has a small “5” stamp on the top, just ahead of the receiver. A post-war canvas M1 sling is installed. This is a great arsenal refurbished Winchester Garand, originally made in 1944, that is in fine-near excellent condition overall.
