EXCELLENT WWII Remington 1903A3 Bolt Action Rifle
Description:
EXCELLENT WWII Remington 1903A3 Bolt Action Rifle
Made in 1943, Custom Converted to a Hunting Rifle
Here we present a Remington US Model 03A3 Bolt Action Infantry Rifle, made in September 1943. The Model 1903 was, of course, adopted by the US in 1903. It was issued en mass during World War I through World War II. This rifle would have been issued during World War II and very likely used in combat. It was, at some point, sold as surplus. This specimen has been artfully transformed from a standard infantry rifle to a very fine hunting rifle. The barrel has been free-floated, highly polished and deeply blued. The front sight is a fine bead atop a ramp that has a tree-bark type of texturing on the back. The rear sight is a Williams receiver-mounted and adjustable peep sight. The walnut stock is custom with a pronounced comb. The forend and pistol grip are both capped and the finish is matte. Quick detach sling swivels have been installed. The leather sling is a Bianchi Cobra. The butt pad is a White Line from Pachmayr.
Condition is excellent. The blue is virtually 100%. The markings are clear and legible. The stock is beautiful and rugged. The bore is excellent, with sharp rifling and shiny surfaces. The action is perfect. Here is the complete package: a significant rifle historically, made into a high-end, custom hunting rifle. Deer season is upon us. Here is a very cool, practical and beautiful rifle to hunt with.
This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
Barrel is 24 inches in length.
