Winchester Model 70 Super Grade "Pre-64" .375 H&H
Description:
Winchester Model 70 Super Grade "Pre-64" .375 H&H. Manufactured in 1952 with original 25" barrel, hooded ramp front sight and two position windage adjustable rear sight. Receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The floor-plate is marked - SUPER GRADE -. The "super grade" walnut stock in original configuration has wraparound multi-point checkering, ebony forend cap, blued steel pistol grip cap, Monte Carlo raised cheekpiece, swivels and mounts, and a Winchester recoil pad. Rifle weighs 9 Lbs. The condition is very good+ for the barreled action with about 95%+ original blue finish with a few light marks, however the floor-plate shows lightning of the blue and some tiny faint rust spots, and the trigger-guard shows even less blue remaining. The stock is in very good- (minus) condition with original finish but has a number of scratches and dings. Not a true safe queen and obviously the rifle was hunted with and probably for Rocky Mountain elk in Idaho!
