1985 Remington Model 700 BDL in .270 Winchester w/ Redfield Tracker 3X-9X Scope
Description: This 1985 production Remington 700 BDL is a beauty. It has been well-cared for during it's 33 year existence and very lightly used. The original factory gloss blue finish rates a solid 96 to 97% with some very minor handling marks visible under close observation. The alloy trigger guard and floorplate is also in excellent shape with the majority of small handling marks on the trigger guard bow. The 22" inch barrel which is fitted with factory adjustable iron sights, has a minty bright bore. The rifling still has sharp lands and grooves and there is zero pitting or erosion present. The factory BDL stock is in excellent condition on this Model 700. The checkering is still clean and crisp and the stock is free from cracks or repairs. The factory clear coat rates 97% with no noticeable wear or cracking. This BDL stock features an ebony forend tip with a white spacer, a checkered black plastic pistol grip cap with a white spacer, and a factory plastic buttplate with a white spacer. The length of pull is 13.5" inches to the end of the buttplate. The action on this rifle is smooth and it locks up tight. All of the controls work 100% like the day this rifle left the factory. The trigger is quite nice, and breaks without any grittiness. The .270 Winchester chambering is a great choice for North American game and long range shooting. The cartridge is known for being very accurate and flat shooting, with enough knock-down power to take just about any game in the U.S. It is also widely available and not expensive, so going to the range and shooting a couple of boxes won't cost an arm and a leg! This Remington 700 is set up with a period Redfield Tracker 3-9X variable power scope mounted up on Leupold 2-piece bases and Leupold 1" inch rings. The scope is a very nice match to the rifle and has a gloss black finish. The optics are nice and clear and all of the scope adjustments work properly. If you have been looking for a nice older Remington 700 BDL to add to your collection and hunt with, this classy rifle would be an excellent choice.
