Buchel "Original Meister" Schutzen Rifle with Original Sights, Cal. 8.14 x 46 R
Description:
Schutzen Rifles were target rifles that were used across Europe and the United States from the 19th Century into the mid 20th Century. They were used primarly by German and German-Americans that belonged to shooting clubs. This August of 1937 vintage Buchel is a typical example with a single shot falling block action, a 30 inch octagon barrel, a removable trigger assembly, and a Tyrolean style stock. The condition of this rifle is very good. The receiver retains 65% bright case colors and the barrel has most of the original blue, and the bore is bright/excellent. The walnut stock is without cracks or major faults but does have numerous dents and small scratches. Almost all of these style rifles that we see for sale are missing perhaps the most important part; the sights. This rifle's sights, which number to the gun, are intact and fully functional. There is a lot of precise workmanship in this rifle and it could not be duplicated for anywhere the asking price. PRICE: $1,495 We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974. PH. 859-276-1419 We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.
