Description:
This is the US model 1884 Trapdoor Springfield in cal 45-70 with the unique sliding spike bayonet. A good looking rifle with the majority of the bbl blue remaining. Case color on the frame and trapdoor. Nice solid action. VG+ bore. Stock matches the rest of the gun being VG. A visible cartouche dated 1891. There is a number 7 on the left hand side of the stock and a 7 and 18 on the right side. There is also a painted symbol on the very top of the gun. These would be different unit and rack numbers. A nice Trapdoor!
