US SPRINGFIELD CARBINE
Description:
A well used but decent looking Trapdoor. Most of the finish is gone on the front half of the bbl. Some blue remains in the protected area around the sight. Frame is mostly a grey color with hints of case color. Gun is in the 415k serial range. Trapdoor hinge is nice and tight. Good hammer and trigger springs and also a VG bore. Wood is average for one of these. Several dings and handling marks. No cartouche visible. A crack on the right side of the forearm but all wood is present. Good fitting wood even to the buttplate. Rear sight is marked "C" for carbine. A decent carbine that is fairly priced.
