Winchester Historic Model 1894 Caliber 30 WCF Rifle
Description:
Winchester Historic Model 1894 Caliber 30 WCF Rifle
Caliber: 30WCF
Barrel: 26"
Note: This historic Winchester model 1894 was owned by a Cal Smith, born in 1892, in Kingston, Idaho on the Smith Ranch. At the age of 12, in 1904 (the year of manufacture of the rifle), young Cal was presented with this gun by his father. A letter with more details from family members accompanies the gun. The gun has a 26" round barrel and the bore is worn and frosted the full length. The bluing on the metal parts is at 40-50% and fading. The only aftermarket thing that seems to have been added to the gun, is a coat of varnish that was applied to the buttstock. There is one small gouge on the right side of the comb, about a 1/4" long. A great piece of early Americana attached to the historic Smith ranch in Kingston, Idaho!
