Description:
This is a Winchester 1873 rifle in .44-40. The serial number dates to 1887. This rifle has an old refinish that was very well done. Lettering is still crisp. the barrel flats are sharp, and there are no traces of pitting under the reblue. The full length magazine tube has no dents. Finish on the wood is in great condition with no signs of oversanding. The fore arm has been repaired at the top front on both sides. The 24 inch octagon barrel is bright and shiny with strong rifling. Sights are a Buckhorn rear and a Brass blade front.
