Winchester ~ 1885 High Wall ~ .40-90 Sharps Straight.
Description:
This Winchester Model 1885 High Wall is in very good condition. The barrel is marked H M 40-90 SS (.40-90 Sharps Straight) is 32 inches long and has a 4 marked on the bottom in front of the forearm. The rifling is right hand and is bright and shiny. The walnut stock and forearm look very good but it looks like a repair has been done on the right hand side or a screw was put in to prevent cracking from the heavy recoil. There is the standard old looking hairline crack behind the upper tang, but it is small. The rifle has a rear tang peep sight that looks correct along with a rear sporting sight with elevator and a Knife blade front sight. The rifle has a single set trigger. This is an Antique and can be shipped directly to you were allowed by law.
