Winchester Model 1873 44-40 Caliber
Description:
Here is a Winchester Model 1873 in 44 Winchester/44-40. The firearm was manufactuered in 1879 according to the Winchester Serial Number archive. The firearm has the character of a firearm from the time period, with the metal on the firearm showing a brown patina throughout. There are areas on the barrel that has faded and not taken the brown patina. The wood has dents and scratch's from wear and tear. I see no stock crack's on the forearm nor on the butt stock. The action for as old as it is remains workable, and tight for it's age. The bore is fair with slight riflings still showing. The barrel is 24 inch's long.
