Description: UNUSUAL AND EXCEEDINGLY RARE 1890 SEMI-DELUXE ROUND BARREL RIFLE IN .22 WRF, serial numbered in the 764XXX range which puts it in the very end of production in 1944 (limited World War II production) and in the M-90 parts clean-up range, round barrel '90s are extremely rare and only found at the end of production, this is the first pistol grip round barrel M-90 I've seen, has the late style tang marking "TRADE MARK" over "WINCHESTER" etc., Barrel also has the late "MODEL 90" over "22 WRF" etc. markings, fine aged-dull blue overall a little thinning on the receiver and edges, matching numbers sharp Winchester proof marks on receiver top and barrel top, exc. wood with sharp checkering on the pistol grip and correct Winchester embossed grip cap, interestingly it has a nickel plated butt plate with about all the nickel intact- probably a left over part normally used on some gallery guns, exc. bore, tight action, super rare especially with a round barrel!
