MODEL ’90 IN SCARCE .22 LONG RIFLE CHAMBERING, #710XXX, MADE 1927
Description: DIFFICULT TO FIND AND VERY DESIRABLE MODEL ’90 IN SCARCE .22 LONG RIFLE CHAMBERING, #710XXX, MADE 1927. A nice, unaltered example with BRIGHT EXCELLENT BORE. Retains most of the barrel blue with some scattered patches of surface rust/corrosion that is on the metal and not “in” the metal- very minor and ought to be easy to clean off with some oil soaking, again minor. Blade/bead front sight with Marbles marked buckhorn rear sight. Excellent blue on the bolt and fine blue on the upper tang with the receiver sides and bottom aged/flaked to a plum gray/brown. Exc. markings, exc. butt stock and forearm with tight wood to metal fit, tight action, matching numbers, this was a rifle that was certainly used, but taken care of and not abused. This is the original factory .22 Long Rifle barrel and not a replacement. Made the year Charles Lindbergh made the first flight across the Atlantic in the roaring year of 1927!
