Winchester ~ 1894 ~ .38-55 Win.
Description:
Metal condition is good overall on this rifle given how old it is. Some of the blueing is even still present on the receiver. The barrel, lever, and butt plate have taken on a patina over the years.Wood condition is good overall as well. It shows signs of its age with thinned finish and handling marks. It seems free of major damage such as cracks in the furniture and large chunks of wood missing. The bore has darkened significantly over the years but appears servicable with decent lands and grooves yet. It does appear that someone in its past used a cleaning rod that was too hard for the barrel and marred the inside of it; as evidenced by a few lines down the bore.
