BROWNING 20 Ga DIANA
Description:
Browning Superposed O/U Shotgun 20ga ... 28" vented rib barrels ... 3" chambers ... Briley screw chokes MOD/MOD ... LOP 14 1/2" over 1" pad ... LOA 45" ... DAC 1 3/8" ... DAH 2 1/8" ... Cast Off 1/4" ... 6lbs 4oz empty weight ... single selective trigger ... non automatic safety ... ejectors.
The 28" ventilated rib barrels are equipped with Briley screw chokes (mod/mod) and each have bright excellent bores. The barrels retain 95% blue showing a few scattered light scratches and some faint wear around the muzzles and along the edges of the rib. The front white bead and the center ivory bead are present. The frame is highly embellished with deep relief acanthus leaf scroll and game scenes of pheasants on the left side, ducks on the right, and partridges on the bottom all done in habitat with shaded backgrounds. The triggerguard is made with a short tang and engraved with two rabbits with similar scroll and finish and the gold trigger exhibits some slight wear. The forearm metal is heavily engraved and finished like the frame. It is finished in French gray and signed on both sides by L. Cortis.
The flat knob pistolgrip stock and round forearm rate very good to excellent showing a few minor handling marks over a satin oil finish. Checkering is finely executed, the forearm having a full wrap-around pattern showing some slight discoloration on the bottom. There is a Pachmayr recoil pad fitted providing a length of 14 1/2" with drops of 1 3/8" and 2 1/8" with 1/4" cast off. The gun is equipped with a single selective trigger, ejectors, and a non automatic safety.
A very good Browning hard case is included. This gun was manufactured in 1966, remains in great condition. We guarantee it to be salt free.
