Browing Superposed 20 Gauge O/U - MIDAS GRADE, AS NEW, ANGELO BEE, CASED
Description:
Browing Superposed 20 Gauge Over & Under
MIDAS GRADE, AS NEW, ANGELO BEE, CASED
General Specs: Browning, Belgium, Year 1960, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 10 oz, Over Under
Serial Number: 19061
This fine Superposed, sn19061 made in 1960, was created by Angelo Bee and his team. Angelo Bee is a world renowned engraver, known first as a Belgium Browning engraver at FN in Belgium, and now as a custom gun engraver from Southern California. Angelo utilizes past FN/Browning employees for the creation of these masterpieces, so these are true Browning with some of the work done in Belgium, some in Angelo's shop in California. Best of all, Angelo guns have all of the best options and the finest workmanship. Browning only made about 700 Midas Grade 20ga guns between 1960 - 1977, so owning a Superposed of this quality at this price would be near impossible if it weren't for Angelo. The desirable 28" barrels with factory 3" chambers retain their factory IC/M chokes with mirror bores, the action is tight on hinge, and the action is tight on face with the lever centered. The gun shows as new, with 99% barrel blue, 99.5% receiver blue, with 7 thick gold inlays showing great detail, some tasteful gold wire inlays, and really nice European walnut stocks. The long tang, round knob butt stock has the highly regarded checkered butt option, and the forend is of the 3 piece variety, another expensive option not normally seen on a Midas Grade. Look at this gun closely, and when you consider the factory correct upgrades, you have a very special Browning Superposed. Cased in an original Browning Hartman case adds even more value. Angelo's work will continue to be highly desirable and increase in value, ranking as a quality investment vessel for your estate.
