Browning Superposed Midas 3 gauge set 20-28-410 1960 1st year
Description:
Browning Superposed Midas Grade 3 barrel, 3 gauge set 20 - 28 and 410 with 28" vent rib barrels all choked IC & F. Round knob, long tang stock of outstanding french walnut with fine hand checkering and hard horn buttplate. Outstanding Midas engraving with deep cut scroll and gold inlays in a unique pattern with the side panels reversed with the Ducks on the left and the Pheasant on the right and a Dog on the bottom ( in the place of a quail ). The quality of the engraving is much higher than a standard Midas. Engraving is unsigned. My feeling is this was a show and display gun to show off both the Midas grade and the 28 gauge and 410 that were introduced in 1960. Browning letter details all specs including the Hartman 3 barrel case that houses the set. An incredable one of a kind Midas to say the least.
