Fox Gun Company of Philadelphia, PA., or the Savage Arms Company of Utica, N.Y. between 1900 the late 1940’s. They have been kept and stored in their original factory wooden parts boxes and bins with the original tags and labels. This is the opportunity to own and build,* from the last of these historic parts available, the finest three gun set that that collectors, investors, enthusiasts, and shooters alike will admire throughout history. These receivers, barrels, and all other parts, are new original A.H. Fox factory manufacture, unfitted, and in the white. *They require proper installation, fitting, functioning, proving and finishing by a qualified double gun gunsmith. The barrels have no factory markings, nor is the rib yet matted; Jon Hosford, of Hosford & Co., Ann Arbor, Michigan, is the proper source for matting with the factory rib matting machine. The chambers are cut, less rim cuts, the bores are new, in good condition, but will benefit from from final honing and polish. Chokes (all full & full) can be configured as desired. The barrels measure as follows:
Each frame is serial numbered as I dispose of them for clarity’s sake, and to distinguish them from original factory completion of a finished arm. This is to keep the history, provenance, and the level of integrity and collectibility for these guns an identifiable and known entity. The serial number range for all of these guns is: LASTFOX 1/85 through LASTFOX 85/85 This 3 gun set is serial numbered as follows: 12 ga. LASTFOX 9/85 16 ga. LASTFOX 10/85 20 ga. LASTFOX 11/85 Will ship to FFL or C&R. As illustrated, a set of semi-inlett original factory field grade American Black Walnut is provided with each gun. Each receiver and parts will be packed in one of the factory’s original parts boxes, with a Philadelphia parts tag on one end, and a Savage parts tag/label on the other end. See photograph. Buttplates are high quality reproductions. There are no trigger guards. Suitable substitutes can be purchased from Galazan's. There are doubles for nearly all of the screws, pins, springs, small parts, etc. included with each gun. The set comes with a personalized letter of authenticity detailing the history of these guns, parts, and resource. Price: $10,500 THESE ARE NEW ORIGINAL FACTORY PARTS, WELL DESCRIBED AND DEPICTED - NO RETURNS. I AM MORE THAN HAPPY AND WILLING TO ASSIST YOU OR YOUR GUNSMITH WITH ANY QUESTIONS AND INFORMATION BEFORE PURCHASING. Please call me at (518) 352-1977 Eastern Time. Thank you. Sincerely, Jason Barden. *It is obvious to the reader and purchaser that the assembly, fit, finish and function of these parts, barrels, and guns is only to be undertaken by highly skilled and qualified Gunsmiths that possess an FFL and specialize in side by side double shotguns.
