LC Smith Field Grade 20 gauge Straight Stock
Description: LC Smith Field Grade 20 gauge
We are offering this nice little 20 gauge LC Smith SXS shotgun. The shotgun bears serial # S21756. Manufactured circa 1947. The gun has a straight English style stock and splinter type forend. No defects in the wood. The barrels are 28 inches Armor Steel and beautiful inside and out. The shotgun has extractors. Some bluing wear from use and carry afield especially on the left barrel. Left barrel choked full right barrel is modified. The receiver retains some strong color case with the side plates being a bit more faded. Trigger guard has strong blue but has thinned a where the fingers have worn it. All numbers match and the gun locks up tight with no slop or looseness to be found anywhere. The gun has always been stored with the hammers released onto snap caps or spent cartridges. Top lever is well to the right, indicative of many, many years of shooting left in this gun. There are no cracks or breaks in any of the wood. There is an unfortunate impression or ding on the butt stock that is visible in the picture of the bottom of the receiver. But it is not a crack. LOP from front trigger to butt plate is 14 inches, 13 1/4ish from the rear trigger. Drop is 15/8 to 7/8ths as best as I can measure it.
We will gladly sell and ship to California and can forward for you if your selling FFL will not. Shipping will be $26.00, if east of the Mississippi River, if west of the river $35.00, West Coast states $40.00. AK and HI and US territories will need a quote. Payment with US Funds from US Banks ONLY!!! We accept Checks, Money Order and US Postal Money Orders. We also accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover at 2.8% service fee. All items ship when payment clears. We will not accept PayPal or American Express. No Fee Lay Away Available. Call 865-805-1187 for details or questions. Out of state buyers no sales tax yet. Local buyers must pay sales tax and $10.00 TBI state back ground check fee. Please encourage your congressman and senator to vote against an internet sales tax and instead encourage local shops to hire persons to post on the web. I’ve done both.
