The deep relief engraving on this shotgun is almost full coverage. Left side of the receiver shows grouse in a wooded scene while three pheasants adorn the right side. Floral scroll engraving covers the reminder of the receiver. The intertwined "US" signature of Hans-Ulrich Sorg is at the bottom rear of the left side. The scroll work continues on the fences, break lever, trigger guard, lower tang, upper tang, forend hardware, and all the screws. Serial numbers match on receiver, barrels, forend, and box.
The English style straight stock and splinter forend are from a richly figured piece of walnut featuring full length grain lines. The fine multipoint checkering enhances both form and function. A hand rubbed oil finish brings out all the natural appeal of the wood while highlighting the superior craftsmanship that has gone into producing this fabulous firearm.
Overall condition of this shotgun is excellent, appears new and unfired with very few light handling marks. The bores are bright, action is tight. This gorgeous firearm is presented complete with the original factory box numbered to the gun including factory fitted felt sleeves.
