Remington model 11 military /riot
Description: What a history this gun must have had. Originally used in WWII this beauty has great bomb stamps and almost all of its factory finish. As you can see in the pictures the barrel is marked with the bomb ordinance and the receiver is marked with the same stamp. The receiver is also marked MILITARY FINISH. The chamber is cylinder bore and of course for 2 and 3/4 inch or shorter shells. Finish on the metal surfaces is incredible, it hasnt been refinished because if you notice the address and barrel markings they are to crisp and sharp. My personal thought is that it is original finish. At first thought I believed the checkering on the stock was an after market job, but after further research I discovered other military guns with the same stock. Some other military guns even had game scenes on the receiver because they were originally going to civilian guns, but you must remember how important the war effort was in WWII. Back then we were all AMERICANS, to bad no one seems to remember that today. Theres your history lesson for the day but I continue. If that wasnt, enough after serving us proudly in the military then she came home and was used as a Tehama County riot gun, what a history!
