#12989, Browning Belgium 20 Bore Grade I with Round Knob Long Tang Pistol Grip Stock Made in 1958 with 28" Vent Ribs barrels, Bores at .610 .002 & .002" (Skt.I & Skt.I), Chokes opened to these dimensions, Original 3" chambers, Split extractor bodies, Single selective trigger, 14 5/16 x 1 5/8 x 2 1/2" over the Browning Horn buttplate with their logo, 6 lbs. 9 oz., The original factory barrel blue is 96%, Original receiver blue at 94%, The original wood finish is at 88-90% with scattered hunting marks, The checkering at 95%, The bores are excellent and look like new, The Gold plating on the trigger is still 99%, This piece represents the earlier Superposed guns that had better and deeper cut engraving; smaller pistol grip and the first quality split extractor bodies. This is a very solid and honest working Browning Superposed that will go the next 59 years and fire every time you pull the trigger. NOTE: This gun has the early stock dimensions with 1 5/8" at the comb and 2 1/2" at the heel, the later Superposed had higher dimensions.
