Fine W. W. GREENER, Model Facile Princeps, Grade G, double barrel side-by-side 12 gauge / 2 1/2 " shotgun with ejectors, serial number 44878, made in 1896. The shotgun shows 32 inch barrels and is 48 inches in over all length. Both barrels are marked choke (full). The gun was proved in the Birmingham Gun Barrel Proof House at 13 bore (nominally a 12 bore size) according to a letter from Graham N. Greener of W.W. Greener Co in London. The LOP from trigger to end of stock measures 14¼ inches. There is a 2 1/2 inch drop at the heel. The stock style is GREENER "Rational" which is very easy to use and to shoot with. The wood is lightly colored Circassian Walnut which is fine figured and has good grain. The end plate is dark horn. The chequering is somewhat worn. The gun locks up tight and the bores are bright. A fine example of an English shotgun made by a historic gun maker over 100 years ago with old world workmanship and by using the best material available.
