Louis Delp
Description: Louis Delp 12 ga. This custom made boxlock ejector looks like a Prussian classic from the Charles Daley/Linder days. Delp doesn’t sound German, but he was a Hessian master gunmaker to royalty and this custom made beauty isn’t an antique. It was proofed in 1949. Inventive gunmakers have tried various ways to get a boxlock not look “boxy.” Delp’s solution succeeds beautifully and results in a rounded action that is a pleasure to hold. This guns has many marks of quality including carved fences, scroll and checkered hand engraving, honey-colored Ciccassion walnut, drop points, cocking indicators, blank escutcheon, and Schnabel forend with horn insert. The gun has minor handling marks, but it is still a looker. It has 31.5” (80 cm) barrels and 2-3/4” chambers. With these unusually long barrels choked IC/Mod this gun is ready for clays or hunting with modern ammo. Its weights 7 lb and its closure is tight. It has LOP 14.5”, DAC 1-5/8”, DAC 2.8”, slight right hand cast, with new decelerator pad. I am reluctantly selling this gun because I am a left-handed shooter and the gun just doesn’t fit me. Payable by bank check or money order. $2000 plus $50 shipping. There is a three day non-firing inspection period, FFL required C&R eligible SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
