What an amazing Winchester we have here! You can read the title line and that is just the beginning. First, let me note that to find ANY DOCUMENTATION ON A MODEL 12 ENGRAVED GUN IS RARE AS HELL. Cody Firearms Museum, nor any otheranization, has the records on the Model 12 Winchester. One of the factory engravers, Nick Kusmit, kept records of his work while employed by Winchester and you can find a list of the guns engraved by him in Dave Riffle’s definitive book “The Greatest Hammerless Repeating Shotgun Ever Built; The Model 12 1912-1964” on pages 170-174. This particular gun, sn1633682, was engraved by Kusmit in June of 1955 and can be found on page 172 of Riffle’s book. THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER MODEL 12! Here is one of the finest Model 12 guns you will ever witness; a PIGEON GRADE, SKEET, WITH 30” VENT RIB BARREL, AT LEAST 3X WOOD, B CARVED CHECKERING PATTERN, NO. 5 ENGRAVED WITH 7 LARGE GOLD INLAYS, NICK KUSMIT INITIALS AT THE BASE OF THE TREE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RECEIVER, FACTORY NEW, UNFIRED, WITH THE BOX AND PACKING PAPERS, COMPLETE WITH AN INTACT END LABEL DOCUMENTING THIS GUN, AND IN A 16GA. NO LESS! The box is genuine, with the correct stamps and date markings, and the gun is indisputably correct and untouched factory original condition. Winchester collectibles have always had a very strong following, and this gun will appeal to the fussiest of purist collectors all the way down to a guy that wants a very special gun to shoot clays and upland birds. I know many will say you can never shoot a gun like this, but I just had a guy buy a $50k Holland & Holland and had me cut the stock to 13” and add a rubber pad! Shooters or collectors alike will want this gun as it is the ultimate investment gun, with extreme rarity, highly desirable features, and solid documentation. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the finest Model 12 guns you will ever witness. Thanks for looking.
