Winchester Model 21 20 Gauge - ULTRALIGHT 6 1/4LBS 98% FACTORY FINISH, RARE FIND!
Description: Winchester Model 21 20 Gauge Side by Side ULTRALIGHT 6 1/4 LBS., 98% FACTORY FINISH, RARE FIND! General Specs: Winchester, Year 1936, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 4oz, Side-by-Side Serial Number: 9751 Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of superior strength and mechanical genius created under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use. From 1930 to 1980 they only made about 2900 twenty gauge guns in all grades, most of them weighing well over 6 3/4lbs., many over 7lbs. To find a Model 21 20ga. that weighs just 6lbs. 4oz. is an event. Anybody who walks long distances in the field appreciates a 6 1/4lb. gun by the end of the day. Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN. This gun, sn9751 produced in 1936 shows incredible workmanship and desirable features rarely found in other M21 guns. The combination of single selective trigger, ejectors, splinter forend, light weight, and factory IC/M chokes clearly demonstrate its intended use…THE ULTIMATE M21 UPLAND BIRD GUN. This gun has seen little use, retaining factory finishes on all metal, including 99% barrel blue, 97% receiver blue, and 70% trigger guard blue. The wood is original to the gun as shipped from the factory, including stock dimensions of 2 3/8” drop at heel and 14 1/8” LOP to the factory buttplate. The oil finish has been freshened but it has seen no restoration…even the checkering is untouched and factory original. THIS IS A VFI CERTIFIED GUN, MEANING WE HAVE STRIPPED THE ACTION AND FOREND IRON, PUT ALL PARTS THROUGH THE ULTRASONIC CLEANER, INSPECTED ALL PARTS FOR FIT AND FUNCTION, PROPERLY LUBRICATED AND REASSEMBLE THE GUN, A $275 SERVICE. All VFI certified guns carry a 90 day mechanical warranty. Who else offers that kind of guarantee? The gun is now ready for another 80 years of service. This is an extremely desirable Model 21 20 ga. if you are an upland hunter. The gun has condition, field chokes, and is likely the only 6 1/4lb. Winchester Model 21 you will ever see in your lifetime. The price is right and the gun will always be an appreciating asset as you enjoy its use. Thanks for looking!
