Winchester Model 23 GOLDEN QUAIL 28 GAUGE FACTORY CASE, AS NEW
Description: Winchester Model 23 28 Gauge SxS GOLDEN QUAIL 28 GAUGE, FACTORY CASE, AS NEW General Specs: Winchester, Year 1985, 28 Gauge, 7lb 1oz, Side-by-Side Serial Number: GQ50E Here we have a very desirable M23 Golden Quail 28ga., one of only 500 ever made, snGQ50E, made in 1985 only. This gun is as new in the original factory case with the original snap caps. These are very well made, highly respected shotguns, showing nice wood and engraving, English style stock, beavertail forend, single selective trigger, super strong, perfectly timed ejectors, all housed in the original factory hard case. You won't find a better one, as this one has barely been fired, with perfect wood to metal fit, screws, mirror bores, virtually all of the original factory finishes on the metal and wood, perfect checkering, 99.5% blue...even the jewelling on the barrel breech face and receiver water table is perfect and showing no signs of wear. For those of you who like to shoot heavy, modern loads, even hard shot like steel or Hevi Shot, this is the gun for your upland or clay target games. Even though this is a modern era gun, it is still a collectible Winchester with only 500 ever made and few available in as new condition. These guns have increased in value over the last decade and should be a good, sound investment that you can enjoy in the field or at your local shooting club. Not only that, but they are so well made it would be hard to find a modern maker offering a fine side by side to compare to this Model 23 for anywhere near the price. Thanks for looking.
