MERRILL CARBINE BULLET MOLD FOR FACTORY WOOD CASE
Description:
Here is the rare single cavity bullet mold for the factory wooden case that housed the Merril Carbine. A photo of a page from Gun Report by Dick Salzer gives some history on the mold and how it goes with the wooden factory case. One photo shows the bullet mold is marked CLASS 8 No.358. I asked Dick Salzer about the markings and he replied he knew at one time what they meant, but could not find his notes on it. The spruce cutter has nice fire bluing on it.The handles and body are brass .and shows use and dings. But the bullet cavaties are not bad.
