(.44 Russian)
Description: Smith & Wesson .44 DA First Model Revolver 44 Russian This gun was rated at 90%+ by 3 dealers at an antique gun collector’s show this past summer. The metal has some surface patina, but is in very good condition and has retained much of its bluing. There is normal wear on the muzzle, cylinder & grips. Price: $2,495* circa: 1881 It has a Top-Break ejection system and a 1 & 7/16” chamber length which is chambered for Russian cartridges. It has an early model serial # 2327, (All matching #'s, Butt, Cylinder, Barrel, & Top-Break Latch). It has a 6 shot chamber and a 6½" ribbed barrel with fixed sites. There are double line patent dates on the top rail and all lettering is crisp including the serial numbers.
