Description:
Stephen Grant Sidelock, circa 1885, 12 bore, original damascus barrels with original black powder proofs and 2008 London nitro reproof for 2 3/4" chambers, choked .003 Skt. and .030 Lt. Full, smooth flat rib inscribed "Stephen Grant 67 St. James Street London" and with dolls head rib extension, 14 5/8" LOP over a checkered butt, 1 3/8" DAC, 1 3/4" DAH, 1/8" cast off for RH shooter, 7 lbs. 2 oz., extractor, double triggers, straight grip, splinter forend, top mounted safety bar that is currently disabled, transition bar action with earlier scalloped fences, action engraved with fine English scroll work and "Stephen Grant" on both sides and with 90% renewed case colors, top lever engraved "Patent", nicely figured stock with diamond grip and drop points, reproved for .732 bores and they are currently .732 and .734, min. barrel wall thickness .020 in both. A fine early Grant reconditioned with all new finishes and still good original damascus barrels, barrels are a bit loose on the action with forend off.
