Westley Richards, exceptionally fine vintage boxlock ejector double rifle in .577 NE, ca. 1923. Weight: 15 Lbs. Stock Dimensions: 14 ¼”x 1 3/8”x 2 ¼”x 3/8” cast-off. Superb 28” chopper-lump steel barrels with pristine bores, 100gr. Cordite and 750gr. bullet proofs, have a quarter rib with a single fixed 100 yd. rear sight and four folding leaves out to 500 yds. And retain 98% black finish. Nicely engraved action with double underlugs and 3rd. fastener retains most of what would appear to be the original hardening color. Double triggers, bushed firing pins, ejectors, and automatic safety. Figured walnut pistol-grip stock with Silver’s pad and lever-release splinter forend. A previous owner, for reasons of his own, had the gun restocked and that is the stock shown in the photos. The original stock and forend wood, both in fine condition, accompany the rifle. Overall an extraordinarily fine and rare double rifle in superb condition throughout and cased in a relined period case.
