MODEL 25 PUMP ACTION RIFLE IN .25-20 CALIBER, #16XXX, MADE 1923-1936 Description: MODEL 25 PUMP ACTION RIFLE IN .25-20 CALIBER, #16XXX, MADE 1923-1936. This is a used, but solid example that has a tight action and excellent bore. Correct 24” barrel has a filled extra dovetail on the bottom of the barrel about 6 inches from the muzzle that blends in well- almost like what one might find on a gallery-gun where a chain was affixed so that nobody could make off with one of the shooting gallery rifles- hard to figure, especially because it has the factory hook-eye sling swivel studs. The barrel shows good aged blue with some brown mixing, but also has the last 2 ¼” of barrel painted black. It would be easy to remove, but the question is why was it done in the first place? All correct barrel markings, has the correct UMC marked steel butt plate, stock and forend show only light handling, and are not cracked or chipped. Has a King buckhorn rear sight patented 1933 with a blade/bead front sight. The receiver is mainly brown with some blue remaining mainly on the left side and on the bottom of the trigger guard. Good appearance. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: REMINGTON Model: MODEL 25 Serial Number: 16XXX Caliber Info: .25-20 Condition: VG+ Barrels: 24 |
