WINCHESTER 1886 RIFLE IN CALIBER 38-70

Description:
Caliber 38-70 WCF. 26 inch round barrel and full length magazine tube. Original sights include a German silver blade front and a Winchester sporting rear. Good bore that may clean up. Wood is in fine condition with some extra finish added. Rifle style buttplate. Comes with a Factory Letter stating the caliber 38-70. Only 830 were ever manufactured in this caliber. Barrel and mag have a good amount of blue turning a plum color. The case hardened receiver has just traces of color with the balance having turned mostly a nickel color. Hammer and lever have traces too. A pretty nice gun in a scarce caliber.
