Browning Superposed 20 Gauge – NIB, AWESOME WOOD, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Browning Superposed, Year 1973, 20 Gauge, 6lb 2oz, Chokes M/F , LOP 14 3/8", DAH 2 3/16", DAC 1 3/8" Serial Number: 2526V73 The Browning Superposed is one of the finest over/under shotguns in history and one of John Browning’s most admired inventions. Produced in plain jane field grades to the most elaborately engraved and finely stocked shotguns ever seen, production of the Browning Superposed was done in Belgium, running strong from 1931 through 1976 when regular production ended. Here we have a unique opportunity to own a Belgium made Browning Superposed Lightning Model in 20 ga., sn2526 V73 built in 1973, still NEW IN THE BOX, UNFIRED, BOX ORIGINAL TO THE GUN, WITH THE ORIGINAL HANG TAG INTACT. Better yet, this Grade 1 Superposed has the nicest wood I have seen on a Grade 1; French Walnut with nicely streaked figure on both sides of the stock. We all know that extra special wood makes for a more desirable and valuable Browning Superposed! This Superposed DOES NOT HAVE A MARK OR FLAW ANYWHERE ON THE GUN…THE WOOD AND METAL DON’T EVEN HAVE A SAFE OR STORAGE MARK ON THEM. EVEN THE SHARP EDGES OF THE BOTTOM OF THE receiver show 100%. Weighing a delightful 6lbs. 2oz. and balanced perfectly 1/8” in front of the hinge pin with its 26 ¼” barrels (METRIC) choked from the factory M/F and factory 3” chambers, this is the ultimate upland gun capable of taking tough late season roosters with the 20ga. Magnum loads sometimes required. Use the mild and soft shooting RST spreader loads in the grouse woods and your gun will shoot IC/M patterns. Very versatile indeed! This gun is just the way you want to find them…perfect bore and screws, totally factory original in every way including the Browning buttplate. The Browning Superposed is a very collectible, investment quality gun that is also a joy to carry afield or for a round of sporting clays. Rare to find NEW IN THE ORIGINAL BOX, this gun won’t last long as we have priced it to sell, so don’t hesitate on this one. (We have a period correct Browning Airways hard case in excellent condition if you want for this gun, add $450) See below for specifications. Thanks for looking!
