Description: C.E. Burgans was a Oakland, CA gunmaker and inventor. This is a 10 gauge double hammer gun with 30” fine laminated steel barrels. The bores are very good condition, bright and shiny and the mechanical function is very good. The receiver, tang and trigger guard are nicely engraved. He was the proprietor of the Oakland Gunstore at 517 7th Street. He patented a trigger device for double barrel shotguns in 1886.
