The dust cover is marked 'R.B. Rodda & Co, London & Calcutta' with British proof marks on the barrel and receiver having originally been sold by the prominent British-owned gun store. This Lighting carbine is an antique in the 57,XXX serial range manufactured in 1891. Receiver has 95% bright shiny blue with some flaking on the lower tang. Nice barrel blue is thinning toward the muzzle. 32 Caliber with excellent bore. Good case colors on the hammer and great wood. This one is a dandy!
