ENGRAVED LePAGE DOUBLE BARREL PERCUSSION SHOTGUN

Description:
31-3/4 inch solid rib Damascus side by side barrels chambered in about 14 gauge with good bores that show some light pitting. "Lepage a Paris" is Inlaid in gold on top of the rib. Barrels are mostly a smooth gray patina with a brass bead front sight. Engraved and gold inlaid lockplates, upper tang and trigger guard as well as the buttplate retain most of the original gold finish. Engraved hammers. Extra figure carved walnut stock with cheekpiece have well defined re-cut carvings on the refinished stock with some minor handling mars. Horn trigger guard extension. A broken left nipple otherwise mechanically fine. Sling swivels and wooden ramrod. Not a bad looking shotgun but it was very beautiful when it was new!
