We are pleased to offer a unique collector ammunition, sporting collectible or shotgun collector item. What we are offering is 164 mounted cut away shot shells from the C.I.L. ammunition lab. All of the shells have been cut and the components, primer , powder , wads and shot mounted in the half shell and then mounted on wood slides. There are 164 pieces in 9 pine file cases. All of the slides are numbered and indexed on the cases. These piece all came from the CIL lab that tested examined and evaluated all of the competitive ammunition products. This is a small portion of the contents of this lab which was intentionally destroyed on the final closing of TL CILK/IV1 ammunition plant approximately 20 years ago.* In addition to the ammo, we have an original binder with approx 58 original lab and examination reports on the tested ammo. The reports show the name of the lab techs, the dates and the report of the tests. The reports are very extensive and interesting. Attached to most of the reports are original lab close up photos of the components. Obviously the information as obtained was used to improve and modify ammunition as being built by CIL. The original lab reports are all in the period of the 1960's and are from the research laboratory that was located at Brownsburg, Quebec. There are approx 58 reports some of which match the above ammunition. These items would make a wonderful display or be a great addition to any study collection. *This group represents some of the few items that escaped the massive government destruction of the plant contents.
