Beautiful Set Of Lusi Ortega Romal Reins With Provenance
Description:
Beautiful set of LUIS ORTEGA ROMAL REINS WITH PROVENANCE
Here’s a rare opportunity to purchase a beautiful set of Luis Ortega California style rawhide working romal reins with natural-color buttons, and a leather popper. 12 1/2” popper, 44’” romal and 43” reins. Stored in dry display box in a smoke free home. These reins were authenticated by one on of the last employees who worked for Luis Ortega. Beautiful aged look with no real weak points. The reins are unmarked other than the initials “AMB” on the inside of the popper. AMB, Ada Marie Brown, was an old-time horse woman rancher, one of the toughest I’ve known, in Lafayette. In fact she taught me how to ride (correctly) back in the mid 80’s and I haven’t stopped since. These reins were passed down to my wife before she passed. My wife rode with Ada Brown for many years. Ada Brown was an acquaintance of Luis Ortega when his shop was located in Walnut Creek. Cowboy collectibles is really not my thing so I decided to sell. Please email if you have any questions or desire additional pictures. I real believe a picture is worth a thousand words so I tried to include many all in natural outdoor lighting. Will consider all offers. Thank you
