BILL HURT-THE " BEAST " TH BEST OF THE VERY BEST CAMP KNIVES THERE IS UNMATCHED-UNEQUALLED-I ASK YOU IS THERE ANY BETTER ?
Description: William Bill Hurt Prototype Camp knife is by far the best of the very best you will ever see- a " BEAST " something that defies logic-forget your little 6-9 " bladed camp knife-this is the real Mc. Coy ! Now if you never have used a camp knife before leave this one at home-why ? It could easily remove an entire arm or leg with a hard swing-no kidding ! Better practice with a lesser blade if you want to chop/cut 2 X 4's or else. I never had and never tested such a powerful knife in 33 years of first using and then collecting knives. This is a mighty knife-adds length to your blade and your automatically increase the amount of power you can deliver in a stroke and this knife has plenty to offer-its 12 blade by 1-3/4 wide with a full distal taper on the spine is as menacing as it can be-yet, the handling capabilities found on that model surpasses anything you can imagine-the magazine comes with it folks-how long does it takes to go thru an 10 " thick oak log? 10 minutes of hacking/chopping/cutting in the most intense test you will ever see-the tensile strength on this knife are unreal as the blade bounce back to its regular shape when bent- why ? Because it has four levels of hardness when Bill forged that blade from 5160 carbon tool stee, only a skilled blade smith can do that. knife has a large German silver double guard with silver wire inlay in intricute curlicues in the selected curly maple handle-scabbard is of the wood-linen type covered with African antelope Kudu skin and reinforce at the throat with green velvet-but there is a stunning detail here that very few makers will do if any except Bill Hurt-the scabbard is equipped with a swivel which allows you to squats down, bend or change position and avoid being poked in the leg,or hip bone-you don't even know the knife is there! I ask you : Is there any better ? What you see in the picture represents only a very small fraction of the wood we cut and we used it for 3 non-stop months of cutting amongst six friends who came to help during the " torture" tests and evaluation-one of whom is seeing holding the knife-once you start cutting you do not want to put it down-marrooned in the wilderness? take it with you-it won't fail ! Yes, there is another camp knife for sale in my listing but cannot compare to this one- still it's a remarkable piece of high workmanship and you should not pass it on- this is again the very best of the best there will ever be-watch out for this knife it's not a toy,not a joke, not something to take lightly but if you want to have a true camp knife that will perform beyond your wildest expectations at a camp site in butchering animal, build an emergency shelter that is the one to have and if you just want to look at it and admire it for its beauty, perhaps that will be the best choice. I have used knives all my life if you have never chop/cut wood with a knife by all means leaves this one at home-can't say I didn't warn you ! This is the prototype used in magazines-there will never be such a powerful knife made again as Bill is now retired and as literally dissappeared from the knife making world-his whereabouts are unknown. One picture show him shoooting bows with his long time Friend the late Bill Moran a protegee of the latter maker.... Handle is a full 5-3/4 in lenght-the real thing-that is what you need - made in February 2002. THe write up in the magazine is a work-of-art and explain the whole thing-want to cut meat after using it in taking down an entire forest ? No problem it will do that too ! Price does include shipping USPS, priority mail, insured. Enough said..... SOLD
