World War 2 USAF Aircraft Pressure Gauge Description: This is a World War II era cockpit instrument, ref. no. 2415-36A-A4, manufactured by the Pioneer Instrument division of Bendix Aviation Corp. The gauge itself has a single pointer that indicates positive or negative pressure in 50 increments (calibrated to "INCHES OF WATER") flanking the center "0" reading at 12 o'clock. The original radium lume on the graduations, numerals, and pointer hand has degraded over time to a characteristic mottled beige patina. The back of the gauge has the red filler plugs still in place, and an aged, yellow, September 12, 1945 dated calibration tag. This is an interesting piece of World War II aviation memorabilia and would make a nice piece for display. SOLD |
