Vintage Norman Ford 7/8" scope, crosshairs, with Vintage Weaver 7/8" Detachable Large Thumbwheel Rings
Description: SOLD For sale is a Norman Ford "The Texan" 7/8" scope with vintage Weaver 7/8" rings. Condition is very good. Regular Crosshairs. This scope was made between 1946-1950. In the early Post-War Period, the 7/8" scopes were still very popular. These scopes (according to some) were the equal of the Lyman Alaskan. They look great on a gun of this period. The Model 70's and Remington 721's and 722's will be right at home with something like this atop of them. Personally, I think these look best on a Winchester 75 Sporter or a Winchester Model 43. The size "fits the gun well." The scope does not overpower the gun. The Weaver Large Thumbwheel 7/8" Detachable Rings are really getting hard to find. This is a nice setup for a vintage gun. Call or email if you have any questions. Thank you. SOLD |
