The overall length of this Durrs Egg percussion greatcoat pistol is approx. 12"". The 6 7/8"" octagon 65 caliber smooth bore barrel has a good bore with light roughness. The barrel is bright with much of its damascus pattern showing. The top of the barrel is marked D. EGG PALL MALL LONDON. There is a small brass post front sight and a notched block rear sight. The breech, barrel tang, lock, hammer, and trigger guard have scroll engraving. All the metal parts are bright with light staining. The captured ramrod assembly is present. The stock, with its checkered bag shaped grip is fine with no cracks or chips and much original finish. There is a blank German silver inlay at the rear of the barrel tang. The action functions correctly. This nice Durrs Egg greatcoat pistol would fit any collection of English single shot percussion pistols.
